Today being the International Women's Day, I would like to dedicate this post to those who I feel are the base on which this beautiful universe stands-all the strong,empowered and courageous women of the world.

Just thinking about the number of a roles a woman plays in her journey of life , gives me goosebumps. Let us live those beautiful roles with this post.


  So according to me the first role that a woman plays is that of a daughter. It is often a saying that

 daughters are her father's favorite. Indeed it is true. She starts getting life lessons right from the start.She understands the duties she needs to fulfill and and apart from all these , she loves her parents to the core of her heart, even after being married and having other responsibilities,
her love and responsibility towards her parents never gets a back seat.

The role of a sister is indeed a beautiful one. The amount of love that persists in a brother sister relationship ,just can't be imagined . This love is unconditional and unadulterated with any negative motive. Being an elder sister she tries to compromise on things that could bring about a moment of happiness for her brother. She is the true guide and the person with whom we can share everything.

The role of a wife is what makes a woman strong. She has to leave her home to come and start a new living all together, in a new place. The amount of courage that it takes is beyond our words. She has to manage her responsibilities towards her personal as well as professional life. Even after all the works she does, she never fails to cheer her husband up, when he needs her.

The most important important role that a woman plays, is that of a MOTHER. Right from the starting second, when her baby comes to this world, her journey of endless care and nurturing starts. She sacrifices the wishes of her own self, to fulfill the wishes of her children. Even after her children makes a hundreds of mistakes, she corrects them and keeps her children away from all the negativity that persists. If given a choice to sacrifice her life for the sake of her children's happiness , she would happily take it.

I believe that the amount of contributions that the women do, cannot be acknowledged in just a single day. We should respect and empower our women community 365*24*7 .A community prospires only if the women in the community are treated equal.

Semester Breaks: A time to Utilise.

The feeling we get  once our semester exams end and our semester break starts is indeed out of this world. We feel like to rest and sleep whole day long. Doesn't it feel like heaven? Tbh, I wouldn't get out of bed even if a meteor struck me :|
 But I feel, Sem breaks are the only time which are worth utilizing and spending productively. It's the only period when we have our own time when we don't have any other college related work.

So this blogpost is about the ways one can monetize and spend their sem break in a fun and productive way! Read on to find out more :)

1. Apply for Scholarships and Internships

If there was ever a time to apply, it’s now! You don’t have to spend the entire break applying for scholarships, but even if you devote a few hours to your scholarship applications, it will make a world of difference in your search. After all, it only takes one to win.

2.      Plan Next Semester’s Schedule

What? Here are we searching ways to enjoy holidays and this college crap again?

I know.. But this is the time to get a jump start on planning next semester while you have time and there’s no time like the present!

Additionally, you should start creating a game plan for next semester now, before you get too busy to do so later.         

3. Revamp your Resume, Cover Letter and/or Essays

Whether it’s a job, internship or college application resume, cover letter or essays, updated documents are always good to keep on hand at all times – after all, you never know when you might need them!

Opportunity knocks the moment you’re least expecting it so it’s always best to be prepared at a moment’s notice.

As a result, take the extra time during your break to work on all your important documents, adding any extra information you have had since you last updated them.

4. Volunteer Work

The holiday season is an excellent time for charitable work. Along with the satisfaction of helping the less fortunate, students can polish resumes and graduate school applications by volunteering. Whether it’s visiting a nursing home, organizing a gift drive or working the phones for a local non-profit, volunteering is a good way to help others while sharpening life skills.                                                                                   

5.  Take a Holiday Road Trip

Once we leave college and enter the full-time workforce, vacation time is scarce — maybe a couple of paid weeks each year for those who are lucky. Adapting to a five day-a-week grind with little time off can be tough. So, it’s important to seize vacation opportunities when they’re available. A quick road trip with friends or family can generate memories to treasure forever. It’s also a great way to recharge batteries for the upcoming semester.

Being Single

So, today being Valentine's day, I would like to dedicate this post to that group of people who proclaim to be happier than all the rest. Yes, my friends, I do am referring to the people who proudly call themselves ' SINGLE'.

Now, first of all, all those who are single, have an unbelievable optimistic spirit of
of happiness.They try and make others believe how happening their lives are. For some, it may be true, but for the rest, it's more of an attempt to not to get tempted by the bait of getting into a relationship.

It is true to say that life is indeed difficult for single people. Having no one to do the late night talk, no going out on dates, having to sit and enjoy watching memes made on relationships.
But even after all these hardships, the amount of confidence that these people possess is unbelievable.






They don't hesitate to give relationship advices to their friends!!





How many of us had our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. news feed full of the "Winking Girl" a.k.a Priya Prakash Varrier, the girl who stole the heart of each and every Indian guy within 10 short seconds? The video had been about high-school love and what better time to make it viral than a few days before Valentine's Day.

The girl became an overnight sensation with her mischievous expressions and her I'm-cooler-than-your-average-schoolgirl vibe. The video spawned and endless abyss of memes and trolls on the Internet but all of it boils down to one thing, and that is having a person who can make your heart flutter and make you feel butterflies in your stomach!

Now, the only thing that comes into rescue is HAVING A CRUSH. Now, this a beautiful concept. The best part about being single is that you can have crush on anyone, even on people already in a relationship. Having a crush on someone is indeed an amazing experience in itself. Looking at her all throughout the day, waiting for her to start a conversation, imagining and making all the future plans till your marriage and even beyond. BUT ALL MERE IMAGINATION.


The interesting part about having a crush is that your friends come to know about it even before you know it. But never follow the advices given by your single friends. You will only end up spending your valentine's day with them.

But having a bunch of friends is indeed  amazing. You may start ignoring and spending lesser and lesser time with your friends once you are in a relationship, but the day you break up, it is them only who you will find standing by you, trying to cheer you in all the ways possible, supporting you even you did something wrong.

The pursuit of a Dream Life

It is true to say that our lives have become extremely busy and from day to night we are engaged in work that we might not even like doing. But, even then we continue doing it.
The question here is WHY?

The answer given by most of us to this "WHY?" is "We don't have a Choice".

I would like to believe that this is not entirely false.  
"Why don't we have a choice?"
Because, right from the starting of our journey, our lives get predefined, not by us but by others!
There is a golden path that has been shown to most of you, a journey which starts with words,

"Do well in your Class 10 boards, get your desired stream and life would be easy going."

The reality is, a lot of us don't even get the chance to select the stream and subjects we want to study.

The next thing that we get to hear is
"Do well in your class 12 boards, get admitted into a good college and life would be easy going".

And this chain goes on to just focusing and doing well in academics, getting a job and then having an easy going life. But in reality, Life gets only gets harder and harder..

We put aside everything, every desire, every dream, every innovative idea that we think of, in order to achieve something that has a specified path to reach and the end result is known. We prefer following such a path not because we want to, but because our family and society wants us to.

"Why should we just abandon the path we have been following for so long?"

Imagine that you are excited for a movie but someone tells you the entire story, including the ending. Will you still be that excited? Probably not!
So, how can we enjoy our life if all the things are already decided? There would be no uncertainties, no risk and hence, no excitement.


We people do have this tendency of postponing things thinking it not to be the right time.

My friends, what I feel, the time when one decides to do something that he wants to, be it starting  his new business startup or writing a blog, is indeed the "right time" :)


The excitement we get from the ideas that will follow our journey.. those sleepless nights thinking about "What if my idea fails/succeeds?", and then finally getting towards the end..
Even failure would not be as bitter as never trying to do what we want to! Because, be it a success or a failure, but atleast we won't have that guilt of not trying..
This guilt is something which sits within you.. that feeling of not being able to enjoy life your way is an immense contributor to stress and depression, as I mentioned in my previous post..

People have become so busy 

in taking care that they don't cross the deadline to achieve their monthly target, that they cross that fine that separates us from robots. Instead of running after something that has no value to you, engage yourself in something that speaks to you on a level other than just survival.



Never stop believing yourself. Be practical and make endless efforts in achieving what you desire.
You need not care about what anyone thinks but be honest to yourself.
One day when you will achieve your goals, life would really be EASY GOING :)

A Life without Depression

With this post I would like address an issue which I consider needs to be given focus on, and its for all those students who due to some reason or the other have gone into DEPRESSION!

One of the saddest things in the world is to feel broken, and although you've somehow been figuratively ripped apart, you feel like you can never be put back together again.

Scoring good marks has always been the most important criteria for us. I  remember the time when I was giving my boards and everyone around me was telling me not to take much pressure as they knew I will do great in my exams. Those never-ending hopes were a constant source of fear within me, and a question that constantly kept coming back to me was "What if I fail?".
I was lucky enough to do well, but luck doesn't favour everyone.

As we enter our college life, the situation gets worse. Every now and then we hear news about students committing suicide, students who mostly belong to the most prestigious institutes of India i.e., IITs and NITs. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of pressure and trauma they must have gone through.

The reasons for depression can be endless.

• Not being able to cope up with the pressure of completing your syllabus.. to find yourself nowhere in the race to reach that peak position. 
• Most of the students need to leave their home, come in a new city and stay in hostels, PGs or in a rented flat, in order to pursue their academics. 
• Even the food given in hostels is so abominable, that the thought of eating that food for next 4 years can put a person into depression. 
• Breakup with the person who, according to us, "we love the most" and then thinking we can't live without him/her has contributed tremendously to this cause!

According to me, this problem of internal conflict arises when we don't have anyone to share them with. We start questioning ourselves..  

"What am I  staying here for?"   "Why am I still here?"

Most of the time we don't even have an answer!

But the real questions we need to ask ourselves before doing anything stupid are

"Won't we get any opportunities in future?"

"How will our parents feel when they see us lifeless?"

"Has all the love in this world become extinct?"

One of the most important things to tell yourself when you go through such a period, is that it is okay to not be okay. It is okay to not feel wholesome right now because it will get better. But the only thing that is not okay is giving up. 

 The problem of depression can be only solved by sharing all the negative thoughts with your companion.

 The real happiness comes from friends and the jokes we share with one another, it comes from family members and their unconditional love for us.

Suicides are the act of cowards because life gives us endless opportunities. Just be patient and put your efforts in a constructive direction. Learn from your failures and never give up hope :)
