CBSE Board Exams Retest - A Total Failure Of The Indian Examination System

Hey Shouters

Board exams played a crucial part in all of our lives. Where we belong to today, may be is the consequence of how we performed in our Board exams. Students start preparing for their exams months or even years before the exam takes place. After incessant and dedicated hours of hard work, they finally give and finish off their exams, good or bad, but they finish off with it and the enormous amount of pressure and trauma that comes with it. Now, imagine you wake up in the morning to a news that you need to give one of your papers again. How are you supposed to feel about it?

CBSE has declared a retest for the subject Economics for students who appeared in Class 12 boards and a retest for Math for students who appeared in Class 10 Boards.

This News took the whole nation by a shock as no one was expecting this. The papers had been leaked and in order to make the whole process of evaluation fair to all the students, this decision was taken by the Central Board. But the consequence of taking such a drastic decision which could affect the future of such a huge number of students has led to the development of a cloud of trauma and fear and most importantly, a feeling of anger and protest against the Central Board of Education in India.

Even though the decision has been taken “For the Students”, but in reality it has become a nightmare for them. It's unfair on all the grounds. While the number of students who might have benefited them due to paper leaking are may be in hundreds but the number of students who are badly affected by the decision are definitely in lakhs. The decision is against the very essence of the exam as the students who had worked day and night and had given a wonderful exam will also have to reappear and their exams might not go that well this time. Also the students, who couldn't perform well in the exams, get another chance to perform which is definitely unfair to the former.
Imagine the condition of those students who after months of hard labor, have already left for a vacation trip to get some refreshment and they get to know that they need to give an exam again!

The fault lies with the Central Board if a paper gets leaked and not the students. The importance of the Board Exams is known to all of us and an incident like this is really tragic. It has undermined all the efforts put in by the students. The decision taken by the board needs to be thought over otherwise it may lead to drastic consequences. A country’s future lies within the hands of the students who promise to develop and run our country and hence it’s the primary duty of the Government to take care of all the interests and needs of the Student Community of its country.

5 Things To Stop Expecting From People Right Away

Hey Shouters

Expectation is a beautiful thing when it is met, Isn't it? But what about when they fall apart? Probably not as beautiful as the seemed to be. Well, we all are social beings and we so often get connected to other people. With connections, comes expectations and with expectations comes the fear of not fulfilling them. What i feel is, its the beginning of the end, an end to that beautiful time that you might have had, if and only if and only you had not expected!

While expectations are not really a bad thing to have, the thing that matters the most is what are you really expecting. Are you being 'just' in the things you are expecting? Probably you yourself don't know this answer, or may be you do know it deep down your heart but are not ready to accept it as you feel you can expect the whole world from the person you are connected to and who you care for.
But are you really correct in having such unrealistic expectations?

Falling apart of expectations can be really tough to handle. Its very important to self realize what to expect and what not to! In this post, I would like give a list 5 Things That You Should Stop Expecting From Others Right Away:

1.   Stop expecting (and needing) them to like youYou might feel unwanted and unworthy to one person, but you are priceless to another.  Don’t ever forget your worth.  Spend time with those who value you.  No matter how good you are to people, there will always be one negative person who criticizes you.  Smile, ignore them, and carry on.

2. Stop expecting them to know what you’re thinking.
People can’t read minds.  They will never know how you feel unless you tell them. Your boss?  Yeah, he doesn’t know you’re hoping for a promotion because you haven’t told him yet.  That cute guy you haven’t talked to because you’re too shy?  Yeah, you guessed it, he hasn’t given you the time of day simply because you haven’t given him the time of day either. Well, communicating your thoughts and feelings is very important in this aspect. Keep it simple and tell people what You feel.
3Stop expecting them to fit your idea of who they areLoving and respecting others means allowing them to be themselves.  When you stop expecting people to be a certain way, you can begin to appreciate THEM. Accepting the way a person is, make that person feel confident, not only about himself but also about the bond he share with you. If you do not like the person, them simply move on.

4Stop expecting them to agree with you You deserve to be happy.  You deserve to live a life you are excited about.  Don’t let the opinions of others make you forget that.  You are not in this world to live up to the expectations of others, nor should you feel that others are here to live up to yours.  In fact, the more you approve of your own decisions in life, the less approval you need from everyone else. Just be honest to only one person, and that is to yourself and you are ready to go.
5Stop expecting them to respect you more than you respect yourself -True strength is in the soul and spirit, not in muscles.  It’s about having faith and trust in who you are, and a willingness to act upon it.  Decide this minute to never again beg anyone for the love, respect, and attention that you should be showing yourself.
Now just for a second, imagine you had no expectations at all from anyone and there is no one expecting you to meet his/her expectations. Didn't all the fear just vanished for that single second? I am sure it did. Expectations are the key to all the fears that exists within us. Well, being emotional beings, we can't stop expecting , but we can at least be realistic in what we expect. Lets start "Accepting" in place of "Expecting" and World would become a more happier place to live in :-)

“Expectations were like fine pottery. The harder you held them, the more likely they were to crack.”
